In the 2024-2025’s Offseason, we partnered with Magshimim School, a special education school in Jerusalem for students on the autism spectrum, located within Havat Hanoar Hazioni—our team’s own home campus. Our goal was to create a meaningful, hands-on robotics experience that would be fun, engaging, and accessible. Over the course of four weeks, we worked with a group of seven students to build a basic “football robot”—a simple but exciting robot capable of driving and playing football with a real ball. We guided the students through the building process step by step, while we provided the programming. At the end of the project, the students proudly drove their robot and played football matches, which we showcased in front of the entire Havat Hanoar Hazioni community—around 400 students. The joy and excitement of the presentation left a lasting impression, and this project has become one of our most meaningful experiences. It inspired us to keep creating opportunities where robotics can bring people together, empower students of all backgrounds, and make a real difference.
